First we find out what you want and need. Then, together, we develop a plan to look at your concerns and work out goals for your treatment. This plan might include individual sessions or joining a selection of workshops or groups within our project. Look at the services below and then see what’s included in the “Structured Day Programme”.
Sessions take place in a supportive and comfortable environment in which you can feel secure. People with alcohol or drug problems can join a wide range of Workshops - Therapeutic, Educational and Social – one appropriate to their individual needs. Our current programme includes: Our Menu of Options which offers a wide range of Workshops and Groups. Which include: Motivation to Change, Quitting and Coping, Understanding Myself, Me and My Body and Specials Art Group, Women`s Group, 12 Step Group Acupuncture, AST and Reiki. We also offer a weekend programme.
We're open daily and one evening at present, to provide advice,
information and support. The first step is individual sessions, after
which we can offer a number of treatment options if required, dependent
upon your need. We can provide on-going support to help individuals,
or their relatives/ friends.
Our staff work in GP surgeries and health centres to offer shared
care in assessing, screening and supporting patients with an alcohol
problem. We help those in the early stages of dependence to break
the habit. We also train healthcare teams in assessment, screening
and interventions.
Getting into trouble with the law is often triggered or exacerbated
by drug or alcohol problems. Our non-judgemental teams give intensive
support in custody suites, courts, probations offices, and prisons
and in the community.
We provide assessment for pre-sentence reports and supervision planning; we help
people to break or contain habits; we organise social care under drug treatment
and testing orders.
Preparing for life at the end of a sentence is crucial, so we work with prisoners
before and after discharge: advising on housing, training and looking for work
as they resume life 'outside'. We operate a 24-hour freephone helpline - 0808
161 1221 and volunteer -and volunteer and mentor schemes.
We offer individual structured sessions and support for stimulant
clients, friends and families. Alternative therapies, advice and
information, satellite service provision, home visits, stimulant
drugs, i.e. including crack cocaine, powered cocaine, amphetamine
and ecstasy.
